API 6A Wellhead Adjustable Choke Valve, Choke Adjustable Assembly

The Choke Valve is designed and manufactured according to APi 6A specification. There are two types of choke valves including adjustable choke valve and positive choke valve. The choke valve is an important wellhead equipment installed in Wellhead Christmas Tree and Choke Manifold, which is used in well flow control service to reduce the pressure of a fluid from high pressure in the closed wellbore to atmospheric pressure. The H2 type adjustable choke valve may be adjusted (opened or closed) to closely control the pressure drop.

Features of the Adjustable Choke Valve

－Tapered needle and seat adjust well discharge rate.
－Indicator sleeve reveals orifice size in 1/64"increments needed for conversion to an equivalent positive choke size.
－Convertible to a positive choke by exchanging the adjustable bonnet assembly and seat with a blanketing plug and bean.
－Lubrication and fittings are used for general maintenance.
